The name “refrigerator rights” comes from a Christian book on community. The idea behind it is that we desire to be a group of Christ followers that are so open and comfortable with each other that we could help ourselves to each other’s fridge. We want to in turn be hospitable to one another. We are also a community looking outward. We are a family always looking to adopt a new family member.
