Summer Women's Bible Study Info

Ladies! We’ll be having our summer bible study on 7 Monday nights from 7-9pm at houseofchinn (Wendy Chinn’s house!)

The dates are as follows:
Jun 2, 9, 16, 23 & Jul 7, 14, 21
Jun 30 = off (4th of July week)

We’ll be doing the 7-week “Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent” study written by Beth Moore. This detailed study of Psalms 120-134 engages participants in unique opportunities for personal reflection and worship while exploring the background/writer of each.

Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how study participants can voice their own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. The study explores the background of each psalm and psalmist, the majority of which were written by David.

A typical week will look like this:

  • 7:00 arrive & mingle over snacks
  • 7:15 begin discussion (over homework, what we’re learning, and what’s going on in life)
  • 7:50 prayer time
  • 8:00 start video
  • 9:00 finish

Books will likely cost $13 and checks can be made out to NLCF. If money is an issue, let Wendy know and we’ll work something out.

If you want more info, or are interested in joining and need directions, e-mail Wendy to get on the e-mail list.

vtONE Gathering and Prayer Week

vtONE will be hosting a gathering starting at 8pm on April 15th, in Squires Commonwealth Ballroom. This event will be somewhat informal and low-key; you are invited to bring a blanket with which to sit on the floor. We will gather to worship, pray, and proclaim God’s power through tragedy. There will also be daily prayer at noon the week of 4/14 – 4/18. Each day we will gather at the Burruss flagpoles to have a short time of worship, and then extended prayer on a specific topic each day. We hope you can join us!

Low-key vtONE event in April

From the vtONE leaders: We are in the middle of organizing a gathering on the evening of Tuesday, April 15th 8-10pm similar to a regular vtONE worship event but different in many ways. This event will be very low-key, with no full production setup, no stage, and no (well, few) chairs. The main thing we want to do is simply bring people together. There will be some musical worship, a time of sharing what God has done in the midst of tragedy, and prayer interspersed throughout. We’d also like to let you know that we will be hosting daily prayer at noon, for the week of April 14 – April 18, at the Burruss flagpoles. Like last year, we will have a short worship time, then extended prayer on a different topic for each day. Hope you can join us!

vtONE Worship Event Feedback

Hey all! We would love it if you would take just a few minutes and give us some feedback on what you thought of January’s vtONE worship event. The survey link is here. These survey results are crucial in our planning of future events. Thank you for your time! In Him, Josh and vtONE leadership
