Serving Our Neighbors

Our “neighbor” isn’t just the person next door — it can be anyone we come in contact with in our day-to-day lives. Sometimes we meet someone and it feels like a “divine appointment” that we crossed paths with them. We just know that God purposefully put that person in our path to connect with. Sometimes we refer to these experiences as meeting “people of peace” (Luke 10).

Serving can take many forms. It can be going to another country to help those who have much less than we do. It can be loving kids in an orphanage. Or it can be simply blessing the family next door by inviting them to dinner.

We serve the people who are local to us through our Engage Groups, but we also have opportunities to serve our “neighbors” in other cities and countries. We believe that Jesus’ command to “go and make disciples of all nations” means that we need to serve the people near and far. Browse this section to see some of the opportunities we have to partner with churches in other areas to be a blessing to the people they serve.
