Christian continues our series Jesus is Lord over… where we’re working out Jesus’s Lordship in a few key contexts. This week we turn our attention to the realm of politics, looking to Jesus’s political engagement in the gospels and today as the basis for our own political engagement.

We kick off Holy Week by looking at Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday in Luke 19:28-44. Jesus weeps for the people because they settled for ease and calm when Jesus wants to bring true peace, shalom. Christian helps us see that the Cross is the means by which Jesus repairs the damage of Sin in us and our world.
