Ladies – Got Issues?

First, let me introduce myself. I’m Kristal Poff & I’m on staff with NLCF. Have been since 2008 … where were YOU in 2008?! I head up the women’s ministry here at NLCF. REACH is what we call it. Why? Because our desire is to REACH in (to the community of nlcf), REACH out (to those around us & love them), and REACH up (in our desire to know God & be known by God). REACH is a way for the ladies of NLCF to connect & grow together socially and spiritually.
REACH is here to provide another space for you to be known, but it’s not an Engage Group. Actually! If you’re not already involved in an Engage Group, I’d encourage you to find one here first: https://www.nlcf.net/campus/get-involved/engage-groups/.
This year we’re gonna have the opportunity to get together to talk about our ISSUES! (yaaaaaay …. :/ ) but seriously, how often do we find ourselves wrestling with insecurity, fear, comparison, and unforgiveness?? If we’re gonna look more like Christ, let’s take time this year to grow individually as we grow together. Let’s see what God has to say about some of our issues and how godly character is developed in spite of them. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a girl with issues – it’s necessary for my heart to look at this!
We’ll be reading “She’s Got Issues” by Nicole Unice. And in the spring, Nicole will be joining us for an overnight women’s retreat March 27-28. Nicole is a woman in ministry serving with Hope Church in Richmond, VA. She’s gonna be a fun one to journey with this year & we are EXCITED to have her with us to teach & share life with us in March.
Another exciting part of this study is that the women of New Life, our downtown congregation, will be joining us on the journey & along with the retreat in the spring. Church-wide women learning!!
Here’s the deets:
— Meet nicole & watch this video to get to know her a little bit & check out her book
http://shesgotissuesbook.com/ click on the tab “Why I wrote the book”
— Let me know if you’re up for journeying together this year! I will order books for us, they will cost $10.50 and you can give your payment to NLCF (by check: write “reach” in the memo; cash – put in an envelope with “reach” on it; or give it to me)  let me know asap

— We’ll be getting together at my house (about 3 miles from campus) one Saturday morning a month to have breakfast, hang out & talk about what we’ve been reading & learning
