What Are You Doing For Spring Break?

Consider taking 4, 6, or even 8 days out of your Spring Break week to be a part of one of these trips…

Real Rest — an alternative Spring BREAK trip (Abingdon, Virginia)

Dates: Friday, March 8th – Tuesday, March 12th
Trip Leader & Contact: Jeanette Staats ([email protected])
Cost: $75.00 (includes housing & meals)
Many times we fill our breaks with more to do or with laziness; this Spring Break option however, will be about less and about attempting to understand true rest.  For 5 days (just a portion of the Spring break week), we will be living in Sabbath simplicity.  We will be sharing meals together, have times of studying the scriptures (specifically those on Sabbath & rest), have times alone as well as times together as a group, and have opportunities to engage in various spiritual disciplines, as well as having times to hangout, play games, watch movies, enjoy nature, and even take a nap if that is what you desire and/or need!  Oh – we will also be going technology free except a 1/2 hour a day!

Mississippi Building Project (Pass Christian, Mississippi)

Dates: Saturday, March 9th –  Saturday, March 16th
Trip Leaders & Contact: Robbie & Kristal Poff ([email protected], [email protected])
Cost: $300
For several years, NLCF has been visiting Pass Christian, MS, and helping with post-Katrina building projects. This year we’ll be working on a new Boy Scout camp in the area. Construction experience not required, but can be a helpful bonus. We’ll hopefully have a day to explore the Gulf Coast as well!

Spring Break Miami (Miami, Florida)

Dates: Saturday, March 9—Wednesday, March 13 or Thursday, March 14
Trip Leaders & Contact: Jim Pace ([email protected]) and Christian Hearl ([email protected])
Cost:  TBD
Imagine spending four nights in beautiful Miami!  We will spend time in the mornings engaging the word together, and in the afternoons we will spend time in South Beach, lounging on the actual beach, and will spend an afternoon with a ministry that serves kids in the Miami area. We’ll also connect with Rhythm Church, a Miami church that works with students at U of Miami, eat some amazing food, and experience Miami life!

We hope you will join us on one of these trips.

Contact the trip leader as soon as possible concerning the trip you would like to attend – spots may fill up quickly!
