Service Over Self in Memphis, TN

What: We will be joining our friends at Ball State University (as well as other universities throughout the nation) to serve our neighbors in inner-city Memphis through Service Over Self – a home repair ministry that strives to make homes warmer, safer, and drier while sharing the love of Jesus.
Interest Meeting: January 26th after both services
When: Leaving Sunday March 9th and Returning Friday March 14th
Where: Memphis, Tennessee
How much: $315 – covers lodging, gas, most food (you may support raise for this trip if you’d like)
What to bring: Sleeping bag & pillow, work clothes, work gloves, water bottle, and personal items
Who: You! This trip is limited to 10 guys & 10 gals. This will be first come, first serve … a $75 deposit is due to secure a spot on this trip. If spots are still available, last day to turn in a deposit is Sunday February 9th.
Backpacking ‘Wilderness’ Retreat to Mt. Rogers

What: Backpacking trip for 4 days over the first half of Spring Break. There will be some hiking, campfire stories, and some spiritual disciplines as we enjoy God’s creation!
When: March 8th to March 11th
Where: Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area (about 1.5 hrs away from Bburg)
How much: $50 – covers food, gas, parking fees, etc
What to bring: Sleeping bag, backpack, bible, hiking boots. (We have extra camping gear if need be.) More details to come!

Ladies’ Blacksburg Stay-cation

What: Want to pursue Christ more and be refreshed physically and spiritually this Spring Break? This week we’ll basically have a giant sleepover, where we’ll have the freedom to rest and engage God together. Prayer walks, quiet time, and communal meals is just the start! This is a break for you to connect with God in the ways that He has made you, so there’s a lot of flexibility. It is only for the ladies and it’ll be a Blacksburg stay-cation at the PoffHaus.
