OUT ministries give us opportunities to participate in the mission of Jesus by serving and blessing others. Listed below are some of the churches and ministries we have partnered with for a number of years to help serve people here in Blacksburg, as well as across the globe!
Honduras: We serve our sister church in Danlí, Honduras on a spring break mission trip by helping them pass out food, school supplies, and clothing. We also spend time talking with, praying for, and sharing the gospel with families in villages in the area.
Ukraine: We serve our sister church in Kiev, Ukraine by partnering with them to serve at a local orphanage during the summer. We help improve the facilities with small construction projects and interact with the children and show them the love of Christ.
Operation Christmas Child: We pack shoe boxes filled with toys, candy, hygiene items, and more to be sent to children all over the world through Samaritan’s Purse so they can receive a gift and a message of hope at Christmas.
Hokies for the Hungry: We partner with the Marching Virginians to collect canned goods and donations at one of the home football games and help deliver and sort donations for the Montgomery County Christmas Store.
Leadership Training (LT) Adirondacks: We reach out to our co-workers as we spend a summer with other college students in Silver Bay, NY growing in our faith.
209 Manna Ministries: We partner with Wesley to run a food pantry designed to help Virginia Tech students in need of supplemental food assistance. We help run the weekly operations of the pantry, as well as conduct food drives, etc.
